Julian Snow’s journey with OhioMeansJobs Stark and Tuscarawas Counties started in February 2023 when she began participating in the Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Young Adult Program (CCMEP). With dreams of becoming a nurse, Julian teamed up with case manager Chelsey Bitonti to start her path toward achieving her goal.

Although she had previous experience in childcare, customer service, and fast food, nursing was her true passion. When Julian learned about workforce-funded training through the OhioMeansJobs centers, she knew it was the perfect opportunity to pursue her dream. By July 2023, Julian was approved for funding and began her LPN training.

Just two months into her training, Julian was hired at Aultman Hospital as a Patient Care Tech, making $15 per hour. Though it wasn’t always easy, her determination to build experience in the nursing field helped her push through her training.

As graduation approached, she made sure to dedicate plenty of time to her studies and was thrilled to be offered an LPN position at Aultman Hospital—her current workplace—before even graduating!

In June 2024, Julian graduated with her LPN certification and soon after passed the NCLEX exam. She officially started her LPN role at Aultman Hospital on July 22nd, 2024, earning $25.50 per hour. Julian’s hard work paid off, and she’s now excited about her future, with plans to become an RN in the coming years.

Chelsey shared, “Some people are just born to be nurses. Julian is most definitely one of those people! She is incredibly self-motivated and hardworking! Despite any challenge, she always comes through stronger than ever to work hard. I’m so happy and proud she is where she’s meant to be now!”
