What is your mission, and who do you serve?
The Greater Stark County Urban League is a community-focused organization dedicated to empowering African Americans and underserved populations through education, employment, housing, and advocacy initiatives. Located in Canton, Ohio, the League’s footprint extends across Stark County, where it provides critical services and programs aimed at economic self-reliance, equality, and social justice. Its mission is to enable African Americans and others in historically marginalized communities to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power, and civil rights. The League serves a diverse range of individuals and families—including youth, job seekers, entrepreneurs, and the elderly—by offering workforce development, youth mentoring, housing assistance, and other wraparound services that build stronger, more resilient communities.

Accessing services through the Greater Stark County Urban League is simple and inclusive.
