What is your mission and who do you serve?
Buckeye Career Center is a career-technical learning institute, serving high school and adult students, primarily from Tuscarawas, Carroll, and Holmes Counties. We also serve adults from across the state with our full- and part-time course offerings. Mission Statement: To serve the community by empowering people of all ages to discover their passion and prepare for their future through career and technical education.

What is one thing someone might not know about or is unique about your organization?
Our students are prepared to enter the workforce, enlist in the military, or enroll in higher education before graduation or immediately after. We have a 97% placement rate among our students (within six months of graduation). On the adult side, we recently purchased a CDL school, known as the American Professional Truck Driving School by Buckeye Career Center and the US America CDL Test Center by Buckeye Career Center. This purchase allows us to offer more education for adults and high school students seeking a CDL!

How do you work in partnership with the OhioMeansJobs Centers?
We work with OhioMeansJobs (OMJ) to provide learning opportunities for high school students and adults. Typically, OMJ attendees are eligible for scholarships that can be used for our adult education courses.
