Tell us about your organization:
The United Way of Tuscarawas County is an independently governed nonprofit organization located in New Philadelphia, Ohio. Although we are connected to a network of more than 1,400 local United Ways through United Way Worldwide, we have our own board of directors and financially support only health and human service programs serving the Tuscarawas County area. We provide funding to several programs/organizations such as Access Tusc, T4C, Salvation Army, Society for Equal Access, OhioGuidestone, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. We also support our own programs like the VITA tax clinic and 211.
How can someone access your services/resources? Are there any eligibility requirements?
As far as our United Way programming goes, anyone in Tuscarawas County can use 211 to find services in crisis. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is open to any children in our county, birth through age 5, to receive free books, and they can sign up online! Come February, we will be doing our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program again, which provides free tax services to households making $67,000 a year or less.
How do we access more information about your organization and any special events/initiatives?
