Due to COVID-19, OhioMeansJobs Centers in Stark & Tuscarawas Counties are offering onsite services by appointment only. Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 10am-3pm and can be scheduled by contacting the Stark County office at 330-433-9675 or the Tuscarawas County Office at 330-364-9777.
The Centers in Canton and New Philadelphia will continue to assist job seeker and business customers virtually with phone calls and virtual appointments Monday through Friday from 9am-4:30pm. Our social media platforms also provide job seeker and business customers with information on employment and training opportunities and other resources that we offer. Due to these unprecedented times, the Centers have adjusted their weekly workshop schedule. Workshops are now offered in real time on Thursdays at 1pm through our Facebook page. These sessions also can be viewed on our YouTube page. The workshops include writing an effective resume, learning proven interviewing techniques, utilizing the Internet for job search and many more job search related topics.
Business customers continue to be served virtually with fee-free services that include assistance with recruiting qualified job candidates, pre-screening of resumes to an employer’s qualifications and outreach assistance. Business customers can also be connected to resources, incentives and needed services through the Business Resource Network. On-The-Job training resources, outplacement services and labor market information requests are available through the OhioMeansJobs Centers.
